About the role

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair, and inspect Delta's aircraft fleet, engines, and avionics systems in accordance with FAA specifications and safety protocols.
  • Perform inspections on aircraft components, including landing gear, hydraulic systems, and tires, to ensure airworthiness.
  • Install, remove, or modify aircraft structures and systems using technical drawings, schematics, and engineering orders.
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions and interpret maintenance logs to identify necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Document all preventive and corrective maintenance activities in repair logs and computer systems.
  • Use hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment to repair worn or defective parts.

Requirements

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
  • High school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of full-time mechanical or aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Experience with heavy jet maintenance.
  • Prior military experience or experience in the airline industry.
  • Prior electronics/avionics experience or an FCC license.
  • Current Delta employee status.
