About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection, testing, and component-level repair of aircraft avionic and electronic components in a bench repair environment
  • Execute repairs to the component level, including the replacement of transistors, resistors, and capacitors
  • Utilize computer functions to provide accurate documentation for maintenance records, parts tracking, and costs
  • Adhere to all Delta-approved manuals, methods, policies, and standards
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment while practicing safety-conscious behaviors

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
  • At least two years of bench avionics/electronics component repair experience or 21 months of specialized academic training
  • Ability to pass the Avionics Evaluation Test (reading schematics, identifying components, and operating meters)
  • Ability to obtain IPC-7711/7721 soldering certification within 12 months of assignment
  • Proficiency in reading and writing English to comprehend technical manuals
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to lift up to 70 pounds
  • Willingness to work rotating or fixed shifts
  • Ability to pass an FAA-required drug test
