Aircraft Maintenance Technician - Avionics

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, testing, and repair of aircraft avionic and electronic components in a bench repair environment
• Execute repairs to the component level, including replacement of transistors, resistors, and capacitors
• Utilize computer functions to provide accurate documentation for maintenance records, parts tracking, and costs
• Adhere to all Delta policies, standards, and safety-conscious behaviors
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
• At least 2 years of bench avionics/electronics component repair experience or 21 months of specialized academic training
• Ability to pass a mechanical aptitude test and an Avionics Evaluation Test (reading schematics, identifying components, and operating meters)
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
• Ability to obtain IPC-7711/7721 soldering certification within 12 months of assignment
• Proficiency in reading and writing English to comprehend technical manuals
• Ability to work rotating or fixed shifts
