About the role

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the proper and safe functioning of Delta’s fleet by inspecting, repairing, and installing aircraft components and avionics systems according to FAA specifications
  • Perform inspections on aircraft components, including landing gear, hydraulic systems, tires, and engines, to ensure airworthiness
  • Install, remove, or modify aircraft structures, systems, or components following technical drawings, schematics, and engineering orders
  • Document maintenance procedures, including component damage, origin, and condition
  • Recommend necessary replacements, repairs, or modifications based on inspection findings
  • Adhere to all established laws, regulations, safety protocols, and procedures to ensure the safety of self and others

Requirements

  • FAA Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) license
  • Valid driver's license
  • High school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Ability to pass a background check and DOT-required drug screening

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of full-time mechanical or aircraft maintenance experience
  • Experience with heavy jet maintenance
  • Prior military experience or experience in the airline industry
  • Prior electronics/avionics experience or an FCC license
