Aircraft Maintenance & Systems Technician

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, install, test, and maintain carrier aircraft systems including fuel, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and engine systems
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on airframes and structures
• Conduct line maintenance functions including preflight, post-flight, launch, and recovery
• Identify and resolve mechanical problems based on visual inspections or crew reports
• Ensure accurate entry of maintenance in the Aircraft Maintenance Discrepancy Log (MDL)
• Adhere to technical manuals, blueprints, and standards such as AC 43-13
• Operate power tools and ground handling equipment

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in aircraft systems troubleshooting, fabrication, and maintenance
• Experience with line maintenance (preflight, post-flight, launch, and recovery)
• Experience maintaining or modifying large aircraft structures or sub-systems (e.g., sheet metal, flight controls, landing gear)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
• Physical ability to handle items up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces or at heights over 25 feet
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including second shift and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• A&P license
• IA certification
• Flight line or flight test experience
