About the role
Responsibilities
- Fabricate, install, test, and maintain carrier aircraft systems including fuel, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and engine systems
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on aircraft airframes and structures
- Conduct line maintenance functions including preflight, post-flight, launch, and recovery operations
- Identify and resolve mechanical issues based on visual inspections or crew reports
- Maintain accurate maintenance records in the Aircraft Maintenance Discrepancy Log (MDL)
- Adhere to established standards such as AC 43-13, technical manuals, and blueprints
- Partner effectively with the Engineering team to support rapid R&D cycles
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 2-10 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, systems fabrication, or installation
- Hands-on experience with fuel, hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical systems
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces or at heights greater than 25 feet
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including second shifts and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- A&P license
- IA certification
- Experience with flight line or flight test operations
- Sheetmetal experience (bending, riveting, fasteners)
