About the role

Responsibilities

  • Supervise organizational level maintenance on assigned aircraft at NAS Fallon, NV, ensuring all actions meet Navy standards and operational requirements.
  • Direct, coordinate, and monitor maintenance and material actions to restore aircraft and equipment to serviceable condition efficiently.
  • Manage maintenance documentation via NALCOMIS/OOMA and review Aircraft Weight and Balance forms for accuracy.
  • Oversee scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to meet operational tasking and flight schedules.
  • Provide direct leadership and management of day-to-day operations for assigned work groups and personnel.
  • Ensure all maintenance conforms to manufacturer specifications, company policy, and Navy standards.
  • Instruct and assist in the training of lower-level employees regarding proper work methods and job duties.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 15 years of aircraft maintenance experience, including 10 years in aircraft repair, inspection, or modification.
  • At least 6 years of supervisory experience, including responsibility for assigning program workloads and managing entire shifts.
  • 2 years of experience as a Naval Maintenance Control Chief or Leading Petty Officer (LPO) with supporting USN/USMC/USCG documentation.
  • In-depth knowledge of CNAFINST 4790.2 Series and applicable technical publications.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance (US Citizenship required).
  • Experience supervising daily flight operations personnel supporting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
