Aircraft Maintenance Manager

Responsibilities

• Monitor and oversee all aircraft maintenance and repair operations to ensure timely completion of maintenance schedules
• Work with Parts personnel and Maintenance Controllers to determine upcoming labor, parts, and supply needs
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with FAA regulations, manufacturers’ specifications, and company policy
• Ensure tools, equipment, parts, and supplies are in proper working condition
• Assign maintenance activities to maximize efficiency and minimize errors
• Perform skilled manual and technical work on aircraft and engines to ensure airworthiness as needed
• Manage and oversee completion of required documentation and compliance
• Prepare reports regarding facility maintenance operations, status, and costs

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic License
• FAA Inspection Authorization (IA)
• Five years of general aviation maintenance experience
• Expertise in troubleshooting and maintaining power plant, lubrication, intake, exhaust, electrical, instrument, and propeller systems on piston aircraft
• One year of team leadership or supervisory experience
