About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform technical support, repair, and maintenance of Air Tractor 802U mission systems and electronic equipment at forward operating locations.
- Maintain, repair, test, and calibrate various types of aircraft electronic equipment.
- Troubleshoot mission equipment malfunctions using technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings to restore systems to full operational status.
- Manage satellite system architectures, UHF radio frequency transponders, and antenna theory.
- Implement Communications Security (COMSEC) and Transmission Security (TRANSEC) methods and procedures.
- Administer software configurations including Windows 7, Windows Server, and Cisco.
- Maintain tool accountability, safety, and FOD (Foreign Object Debris) prevention protocols.
- Complete all required maintenance documentation and assist in training newly assigned personnel.
- Support mission requirements through rotating shifts and potential CONUS/OCONUS deployments.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 8 years of relevant experience, OR an Associate's Degree with 4 years of relevant experience.
- US Citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
- Valid State Driver’s License.
- Ability to meet worldwide immunization and deployment requirements.
- Ability to pass a required DCMA physical exam and CRC course prior to OCONUS deployment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret security clearance.
- Experience in the direct operation and maintenance of ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) systems.
- Knowledge of DIA/DOD rules and regulations for systems security and hardening (e.g., DCID 6/3).
- Valid US Passport.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
