Aircraft Line Support Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical dispositions and guidance for aircraft issues exceeding published limits for structural damage
• Perform structural analysis for sheet metal and composite repairs
• Provide work deviation authorization and interpretation of service documents & Engineering Orders
• Offer repair versus replacement options to minimize financial impact
• Assist Line Maintenance with aircraft system troubleshooting
• Attend daily production and pre-induction meetings to ensure timely support
• Coordinate with Engineering Fleet Groups for troubleshooting and follow-up
• Monitor trends and recurring discrepancies to develop typical repairs and manual supplements

Requirements

• BS Degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering
• 2+ years of experience in a specific technical discipline
• Ability to perform structural analysis to substantiate repairs
• Knowledge of FARs, FAA policies, and vendor manuals (AMM, IPC, CMM)
• Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule (7 on/7 off rotation)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in aircraft, airline, MRO, or aviation engineering environments
