About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform production assembly operations on interior assemblies including seats, cabinets, panels, and in-flight entertainment equipment
- Work from diagrams, drawings, and blueprints to make initial layouts and use hand/power tools
- Position and align subassemblies in jigs or fixtures using measuring instruments
- Conduct continuity checks and quality inspections on work in process
- Perform serviceability tests utilizing specified test equipment
- Complete work package documentation per FAA and repair station manuals
- Submit completed work to Quality Assurance for final inspection and airworthiness certification
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- 0-2 years of experience in assembly, mechanical, electrical, or aircraft structures
- Proficiency in riveting and installation of related hardware
- Ability to use precision instruments and air-powered hand tools
- Ability to read work orders, blueprints, and specifications
- Ability to wear a respirator as per OSHA regulations
- Ability to pass random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- A&P certification
- Mechanical or electrical experience
- Structures experience
