Aircraft Interiors Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, installation, and refurbishment of aircraft cabin interiors including seats, cabinets, panels, and partitions
• Work from diagrams, drawings, and blueprints to make initial layouts and assembly operations
• Use hand tools, power tools, jigs, and saws to position and align subassemblies
• Conduct continuity checks and quality inspections on processing lines
• Complete work package documentation in accordance with FAA and repair station manuals
• Perform serviceability tests using specified technical equipment

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• 2-4 years of experience in aircraft assembly, mechanical, electrical, or aircraft structures
• Proficiency in riveting and installation of related hardware
• Ability to read work orders, blueprints, and technical specifications
• Proficiency with air-powered hand tools and precision instruments
• Ability to wear a respirator per OSHA regulations
• Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts

Preferred Qualifications

• A&P certification
• Mechanical or electrical experience
• Aircraft structures experience
