Aircraft Interior Installation Technician

Responsibilities

• Remove, install, and fabricate aircraft interiors including galleys, closets, lavatories, side ledges, bulkheads, and doors
• Coordinate with supervision and Inspection to ensure compliance with Repair Station procedures and FAA paperwork
• Use material tracking systems to create parts demand and track squawks
• Operate hand tools, band saws, shears, sanders, and brakes following standard operating procedures
• Comply with safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies using required personal protective equipment
• (Senior Level) Mentor and train other technicians and oversee projects to ensure quality control standards

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Experience ranging from entry-level fabrication to 4 years of applicable installation experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Ability to climb ladders, work in restricted areas, and lift up to 40 pounds
• Computer literacy
• Valid driver's license (may be required)
• Ability to participate in a DOT/FAA drug and alcohol program

Preferred Qualifications

• Trade school education
• Advanced knowledge of composite panels (Nomex honeycomb, fiberglass, Lexan, acrylic)
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma process improvement techniques
