Aircraft Inspector III

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of widebody aircraft (e.g., Boeing 737, 757, 777, 787, Airbus A320) and associated components
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with FAA Part 145, Part 43, and Part 65 regulations
• Mentor junior inspectors on techniques, documentation, and regulatory compliance
• Review and sign off on maintenance records, work orders, and airworthiness releases
• Conduct incoming part inspections and final release inspections
• Coordinate with production, engineering, and customer representatives to resolve discrepancies
• Support internal and external audits, including FAA and third-party assessments
• Perform in-progress inspections including clearance-to-close, torque verifications, and dimensional checks

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• A.A. Airframe and Powerplant License
• Minimum 5 years of heavy aircraft maintenance experience
• Minimum 3 years of quality control experience in a repair station environment on transport category aircraft
• Knowledge of FAA regulations (FAR Parts 21, 43, 45, and 145)
• US Citizenship required
• Ability to travel and work outside core business hours as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with widebody aircraft systems
• Experience with root-cause analysis and accident/incident investigations
