About the role
Responsibilities
- Inspect aircraft, systems, equipment, and parts to determine airworthiness in compliance with FAA regulations
- Perform preflight and post-flight inspections and ensure accurate documentation
- Prepare reports on maintenance services and spare parts supplier performance
- Conduct preliminary, hidden damage, continuity, and final inspections on repaired items
- Perform review inspections and random work package audits to monitor quality standards
- Assist the Chief Inspector in analyzing quality data to improve Quality Assurance functions
- Perform stock re-inspections and shipping inspections
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- A&P License
- 5-7 years of experience as an aircraft A&P Mechanic
- Prior inspector experience with aerospace quality systems meeting FAA requirements
- Experience interpreting precision measurement instruments
- Ability to wear a respirator per OSHA regulations
- Ability to pass random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- A.S. degree in Aviation
