About the role
Responsibilities
- Repair, replace, and test aircraft engine components and systems using technical instructions and diagnostic equipment
- Disassemble and inspect engine parts, such as turbine blades and cylinders, for wear, warping, cracks, and leaks
- Assist in the preparation, installation, and removal of aircraft engines and engine systems
- Operate and evaluate engine systems using an engine run cell
- Troubleshoot entire aircraft systems and determine necessary repairs or part replacements
- Utilize various hand tools, measuring devices, and diagnostic equipment to ensure quality and precision
Requirements
- FAA Powerplant License
- If no A&P, must have five (5) years of documented experience as a Flexible Engine Diagnostic System (FEDS) operator
- US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization
- Must possess own shadowed/etched tools and a toolbox
