About the role
Responsibilities
- Assemble, disassemble, and modify aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement upgrades
- Troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate and repair faults
- Perform validation and verification testing of systems and components
- Document all procedures, repairs, and test results to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance
- Inspect components and verify repairs to meet flightworthiness requirements
- Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as an Aircraft Avionics Technician, maintenance release authority (MRA), or equivalent to RCAF Level A
- Valid TCCA, AME, Avionics Technician (AME-E) license, or military equivalent
- Knowledge of Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) operations and aircraft maintenance practices
- Ability to interpret Technical Orders (TOs) and use specialized maintenance tools/equipment
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Level II security clearance
- Ability to consent to Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment
Preferred Qualifications
- Canadian CC177 Globemaster III Type Course via Air Educational and Training Command (AETC)
- Experience with Department of Defense or Canadian Armed Forces Airworthiness Programs
- Active Secret Level II security clearance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of RCAF Electronic Record Keeping Systems (ERKS) or ADAM systems
