Air Vehicle Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or drones in accordance with established procedures and safety protocols
• Conduct pre-flight checks to ensure aircraft and systems are functioning correctly
• Plan and execute flight missions including route planning, payload management, and weather considerations
• Monitor and maintain communication links with ground control stations
• Interpret flight data and telemetry to make real-time decisions
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on UAVs to ensure airworthiness
• Document flight activities, mission logs, incident reports, and maintenance records

Requirements

• Proven experience operating UAVs or drones
• Strong knowledge of UAV systems, flight controls, navigation, sensors, and payloads
• FAA Remote Pilot Certificate (Part 107) or equivalent
• 200 hours as Pilot in Command (Unmanned)
• Ability to maintain a Class II flight physical
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD clearance
• 3-6 years of relative experience in UAS flight systems and operations

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous qualifications as a UAS Operator
• Experience with software tools for flight planning, data analysis, and mission management
• Bachelor's Degree
