Air Vehicle Operator 2

Responsibilities

• Act as Pilot in Command (PIC) of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS)
• Provide Mission Coordinator/Commander support to the team
• Coordinate ground and flight operations including mission planning, execution, and briefing
• Monitor aircraft vital signs and ensure safe, legal flight operations
• Formulate training programs, lesson plans, and instructional materials
• Train assigned personnel in effective tactics, techniques, and procedures

Requirements

• 100+ flight hours on UAS platforms acting as PIC
• FAA Private Pilot’s License (PPL) with an Instrument rating
• Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or higher
• US Citizenship and valid US passport
• Experience in aviation field in OCONUS (deployed) locations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe forms
• Ability to work extended hours and shift work

Preferred Qualifications

• 500-1000 hours of Manned Aviation Experience
• 200-500 UAS PIC hours (Group 3+)
• Experience controlling aircraft Beyond Line of Sight and associated data links
• Experience with Piccolo PCC or other Auto Pilot systems
