About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform master HVAC work, including the installation, repair, and modification of refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, and ventilation equipment
  • Maintain and repair supporting systems such as electrostatic filters, pneumatic and electric controls, utility meters, pumps, and fan motors
  • Execute pipefitting tasks and repair steam lines, expansion joints, traps, regulators, bearings, and valves
  • Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules and inspect equipment for compliance with blueprints and technical specifications
  • Read and interpret sketches, blueprints, and layouts to determine material needs and provide cost estimates
  • Serve as a lead worker to supervise, instruct, and train semi-skilled and skilled Air Quality workers
  • Compile reports, requisitions, work orders, and inventory lists

Requirements

  • Approved certificate from an accredited related apprenticeship program (or two years of related work experience/specialized training in lieu of education)
  • One year of related HVAC experience
  • EPA refrigeration certificate
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
