Air & Ocean Specialist, Senior

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the handling of documentation and advances for clearance and delivery of air and ocean freight.
• Monitor and control all entry and entry summary preparation to ensure compliance with US Federal Code of Regulations.
• Manage the import of air and ocean shipments by working daily with forwarders and ensuring POD is supplied.
• Process required customs documentation and determine profit levels and billing.
• Expedite and trace shipments as required to meet KPIs and deadlines.
• Provide high-level customer service, including mentoring team members and resolving escalated issues.
• Identify potential risks and implement efficient problem-solving solutions.
• Develop, implement, and maintain departmental processes to foster continuous improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of relevant work experience in air or ocean freight/customs.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Valid Passport and willingness to travel occasionally to other office locations in Canada, the USA, or Mexico.
• Must be legally eligible to work for the company at all times.
