Air Intake Engineer ME2

Responsibilities

• Manage mounting design, packaging, and validation of air intake systems, including air cleaners, ducting, and related components.
• Support supplier selection, component design, and collaboration with hood, plenum, and HVAC designers.
• Address field issues and quality topics related to isolators and dust ingestion.
• Innovate on future projects focusing on complexity/cost optimization, performance benchmarking, and NVH improvements.
• Deliver high-quality design deliverables and present status updates in technical forums.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Service to provide timely solutions to production problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field.
• 2-4 years of professional engineering experience.
• Demonstrated CAD experience for part design, drawings, and layout work.
• Experience with technical documentation, including part release and charting.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with engineering tools such as Engineering Client, IMACS+, or ERS+.
• Familiarity with CVDS deliverables and milestones.
• Experience designing ducting, cast/stamped brackets, or plastic/rubber components.
• Experience with CFD or fluid dynamics.
