Air Import Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all Air Freight Import processes, ensuring operational efficiency and regulatory compliance
• Act as the primary escalation point for customer import shipments and manage financial performance through KPIs
• Lead and develop the team through hiring, coaching, training, and performance management
• Collaborate with internal teams such as Gateway, Trucking, and Handling to improve service and processes
• Partner with the Sales team to support business growth through customer meetings and calls
• Monitor P&L, review month-end reports, and manage open AP/AR
• Motivate and manage a unionized workforce in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in freight forwarding (Airfreight and/or Import experience preferred)
• 1+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation abilities
• Proven ability to drive KPIs and build high-performing teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using CargoWise
• Previous experience working in a unionized environment
