Air Import Gateway Agent

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the movement of air import shipments by acting as the primary contact between customers, customs brokers, and shipping carriers
• Execute orders by confirming arrival times, coordinating with customs brokerage, and dispatching deliveries
• Manage shipment documentation for cargo release and perform accurate data entry
• Build and maintain customer relationships through proactive communication via email and phone
• Work with air and ground transportation partners to handle shipments and ensure timely delivery
• Notify customers and customs brokers of arrivals, charges due, and provide accurate job costing forecasts
• Handle and manage all customer contact regarding shipment exceptions

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in the freight forwarding industry
• Air import experience is preferred
• Exceptional customer service skills and strong follow-up abilities
• Detail-oriented mindset with high accuracy in data entry
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of CargoWise systems is a plus
