Air Export Specialist

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate necessary documentation for efficient and lawful air export activities
• Coordinate cargo pick-up and transfer while monitoring shipment status
• Communicate with export-related authorities, customers, and suppliers to ensure positive relations
• Manage and update carrier and vendor rates, including obtaining spot rates when necessary
• Track shipments and provide timely updates to overseas agents and clients
• Complete US Customs AES (Automated Export System) filings
• Manage customer invoicing, payable approvals, and file auditing for accuracy
• Maintain customer files and manage operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience handling air export shipments
• High School Diploma or GED
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong knowledge of customs laws, practices, and procedures
• Experience with US Customs AES filings
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Cargowise
• Bilingual skills
• Experience in the freight forwarding industry
• Knowledge of US Exports Compliance
• Geographical knowledge
