Air Ambulance Clinical Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day clinical operations and maintain clinical standards across all transport operations
• Ensure transport personnel maintain licensure, certification, and clinical competency
• Manage recruitment, screening, hiring, and credentialing of clinical transport personnel
• Develop and implement clinical education calendars and competency verification programs
• Own the day-to-day QA/QI program, including case reviews and performance data tracking
• Maintain active flight status and participate in patient transports as a clinical crew member
• Oversee medical equipment and supply inventory, including restocking and serviceability
• Support regulatory compliance and accreditation preparation activities

Requirements

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Ohio or Paramedic with valid Ohio certificate
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in ICU, emergency department, or critical care transport
• RNs must obtain CFRN within 2 years; Paramedics must obtain FP-C or CCP-C within 2 years
• Current BLS and ACLS provider certification required
• PALS certification required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire
• Strong knowledge of Ohio EMS regulations (OAC Chapter 4765 and ORC Chapter 4766)

Preferred Qualifications

• Multi-state licensure
• Trauma course certification (ITLS or PHTLS)
• Familiarity with CAMTS accreditation standards and Part 135 fixed-wing operations
