AI/ML Researcher (Computer Vision – Vision Language Model)

Responsibilities

• Conduct groundbreaking research in AI/ML, focusing on neural networks, deep learning, and reinforcement learning.
• Design, build, and optimize document information extraction pipelines using multimodal techniques.
• Develop solutions based on Vision-Language Models (VLMs), including LLMs, SLMs, and emerging multimodal architectures.
• Integrate and fine-tune commercial or open-source VLMs for tasks such as layout analysis, key-value extraction, and semantic parsing.
• Collaborate with MLOps engineers to deploy scalable, production-ready inference services and APIs.
• Stay current with advancements in OCR, VLMs, and document AI research.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define research objectives and contribute to project execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing AI/ML models and deep learning architectures.
• Practical experience fine-tuning LLMs and SLMs for multimodal reasoning and extraction tasks.
• Hands-on experience with OCR and document AI.
• Proficiency in Python and machine learning libraries such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• In-depth knowledge of computer vision and AI/ML fundamentals, including supervised/unsupervised learning and reinforcement learning.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in English to collaborate effectively with international teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree with 3+ years of experience or a Ph.D. with 2+ years of experience in a relevant field.
• Knowledge of server engineering and resource management on multi-GPU setups.
• Experience in aviation, manufacturing, or commercial operations industries.
• Experience developing machine learning projects to optimize industrial processes.
• Publication records in top-tier AI or machine learning conferences.
