AI Transformation Lead

Responsibilities

• Drive the AI transformation agenda for banking, insurance, and wealth management clients.
• Lead engagements to transition organisations from fragmented experimentation to enterprise-wide, AI-ready operating models.
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of transformation programmes, including shaping, selling, and delivering.
• Partner with technical delivery teams and C-suite stakeholders to align AI solutions with business value and regulatory requirements.
• Drive workflow redesign and define target operating models to ensure measurable efficiency and cost outcomes.
• Mentor teams and codify repeatable playbooks for AI-driven process improvement.

Requirements

• Extensive experience leading large-scale transformation, operational excellence, or AI/digital programmes within the financial services industry.
• Proven track record in enterprise-wide process redesign within complex, regulated environments.
• Deep expertise in process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or BPM.
• Strong understanding of AI, automation, and data capabilities to design AI-ready processes.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Australian financial services regulatory landscape (APRA, ASIC, Privacy Act).
• Exceptional executive communication skills with the ability to influence board-level conversations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading AI-specific transformation programmes, such as agentic workflows or intelligent document processing.
• Proven ability to shape and sell multi-million-dollar transformation engagements.
• Experience working across both Big 4 consulting and industry environments.
• Familiarity with value realisation frameworks and tracking long-term benefits.
