AI Systems Hardware Engineer

Responsibilities

• Enable highly optimized mapping of AI workloads to next-generation system-technology solutions.
• Identify system and technology bottlenecks for emerging AI workloads, including Mixture-of-Experts (MoE), multi-tenant vector databases, and multimodal physical AI.
• Map workloads using internal and external tools to next-gen AI accelerator systems.
• Conduct what-if scenarios to optimize SoC, memory, networking, and other technology features for optimal power, performance, and TCO trade-offs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Architecture, Product Management, and Software, to drive implementation strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering with 6+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, or integration experience.
• Master's degree in Science or Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• PhD in Science or Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in ASIC design verification or validation.
• Proficiency in Python scripting or similar languages for workload mapping.

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep understanding of end-to-end system KPI dependencies (power, performance, and TCO) for emerging AI workloads.
• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
• Strong knowledge of state-of-the-art workloads across various business units.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to innovate in environments without established parameters.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for negotiating and influencing high-level constituents.
