AI Support Engineer

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to solve complex problems and provide platform education
• Act as a subject matter expert on OpenAI products
• Partner with engineering and customer teams to resolve issues as a final line of defense
• Use scripting and AI capabilities to improve internal tooling and automate processes
• Create scalable approaches for resolving customer issues in partnership with product teams
• Orchestrate agentic improvements to operations
• Provide support coverage for on-call shifts, including weekends and holidays

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in user operations, technical support, or support engineering
• Proficiency in Python or similar languages for scripting and automation
• Expert-level SaaS troubleshooting skills
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills for complex technical issues
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
• Proven experience building cross-functional relationships

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field
