About the role
Responsibilities
- Work directly with customers to solve complex problems and provide education on OpenAI platforms
- Act as a subject matter expert on all OpenAI products
- Serve as a final line of defense before Product and Engineering teams to resolve technical issues
- Use scripting and AI capabilities to improve internal tooling and automate processes
- Orchestrate agentic improvements to operations to scale the team
- Provide support coverage for on-call shifts, holidays, and weekends as needed
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in user operations, technical support, or support engineering
- Proficiency in scripting or engineering code (e.g., Python) to automate tasks
- Expert-level SaaS troubleshooting skills
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills for explaining complex technical issues
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
- Proven experience building cross-functional relationships to drive issue resolution
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field
