AI Subject Matter Expert

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable ML models using classical and generative AI techniques
• Serve as the go-to expert for ML inquiries and mentor team members
• Advise teams on deploying ML models and pipelines on GCP using Vertex AI, BigQuery ML, and AI Platform
• Conduct research to stay current with evolving ML and AI fields
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify ML opportunities for innovation
• Ensure robustness, fairness, and ethical implications of developed models
• Communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

• Extensive experience in classical machine learning methodologies (regression, classification, clustering, ensemble methods)
• Proven experience with generative AI models and techniques (GANs, VAEs, LLMs)
• Demonstrated proficiency with Google Cloud Platform and its ML services
• Strong Python programming skills and familiarity with ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Professional Machine Learning Engineer certification
• Background working with the United States Air Force or other DoD entities
• Strong track record in research with publications or contributions
• Familiarity with MLOps principles and practices
