AI Software Engineering Lead

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of six direct reports, fostering their professional growth and career development.
• Own the technical strategy and execution for the CK AI Service, including RAG workflow design and API expansion.
• Drive delivery velocity by identifying and removing technical bottlenecks and single points of failure.
• Establish scalable leadership models and team structures to support planned organizational growth.
• Collaborate closely with Data Science teams to drive product roadmaps and feature design.
• Govern and standardize AI patterns, including evaluation, observability, and performance optimization.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading, mentoring, and managing engineering teams and performance.
• Deep expertise in designing and delivering distributed systems and microservices architecture at scale.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) workflows.
• Strong understanding of LLM integration, orchestration, embeddings, and vector search.
• Proficiency in API design and building AI-powered services for production environments.
• Ability to define technical strategies that balance immediate delivery with long-term platform sustainability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with retrieval pipelines and ranking strategies.
• Proven track record of reducing knowledge silos and improving system resilience in complex environments.
• Experience working in a cross-functional environment alongside data scientists and product managers.
