AI Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain API endpoints that orchestrate prompts and responses across multiple LLMs using Python and .NET
• Build and refine multi-agent orchestration systems for complex research and document generation
• Implement context budget management and token optimisation strategies
• Maintain and enhance Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines
• Prototype and experiment with new AI techniques and industry standards
• Work extensively with AWS services including S3, ECS, SQS, Lambda, and DynamoDB
• Optimize code for performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Participate in code reviews and provide technical leadership and mentorship

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with Python and ASP.NET Web API
• Experience building RESTful APIs
• Experience with MS SQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational databases
• Experience with DynamoDB or other NoSQL databases
• Experience with AWS or other cloud computing platforms
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of prompt engineering and LLM integration patterns
• Experience with observability tools like Datadog, Langfuse, or LangSmith
• Experience with RAG pipelines and semantic/vector search (PGVector, embeddings)
• Familiarity with OpenAI or Anthropic APIs
• Experience with MCP or tool-augmented LLM patterns
• Experience with real-time streaming architectures like WebSockets or SSE
