AI Software Engineer - Backend Development

Responsibilities

• Work across the stack including backend, frontend, infrastructure, internal tools, and AI features
• Use Claude Code and agentic dev tools to accelerate shipping speed
• Debug complex problems across services, databases, browsers, and Linux hosts
• Own the full lifecycle of code from design and shipping to monitoring and on-call support

Requirements

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, IT, or Computer Engineering (non-CS streams will not be considered)
• 3+ years of production backend experience with Python (Django/FastAPI), Ruby on Rails, Golang, or C++
• Solid systems fundamentals including DSA, concurrency, networking, and OS
• Hands-on familiarity with Claude Code or similar agentic tools (Cursor, Aider, Codex CLI)
• Strong Linux fundamentals including shell, processes, networking, and systemd
• Proficiency in debugging using stack traces, logs, strace, tcpdump, journalctl, and browser devtools
• PostgreSQL fluency
• Ability to work full-time from the Mumbai-Vikhroli office

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in QSR, retail, or high-volume operational domains
• Background in linear programming, optimization, or demand forecasting
• Experience working with LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI) including tool use, evals, and agentic workflows
• Experience with Docker, GCP/AWS, and Sentry/Grafana
• Contributions to open-source or internal developer tooling
