About the role

Responsibilities

  • Consult on and implement practices aligned with AI risk standards to secure the AI lifecycle and ensure resilience.
  • Conduct threat modeling, adversarial testing, red teaming, and stress testing for AI/ML models and pipelines.
  • Monitor AI systems for adversarial ML attacks, prompt injection, and unauthorized misuse.
  • Provide strategic and tactical recommendations to improve the ability to secure, defend, and thwart AI-specific threats.
  • Partner with AI engineers, architects, and compliance officers to embed security controls into development workflows.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for AI security best practices and risk management.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of CISA Secure AI principles and ISO/IEC 23894.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview, Defender for Cloud, Entra ID, and Sentinel.
  • Deep understanding of AI/ML fundamentals, including model training, inference, and secure data pipelines.
  • Experience with ML platforms (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) and MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow).
  • Familiarity with adversarial ML tools such as Pyrit, IBM Adversarial Robustness Toolbox, or CleverHans.
  • Proficiency in Python, Bash, or .Net.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks including STRIDE and MITRE ATLAS.
  • Expertise in securing workloads within Azure; experience with AWS or GCP is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years focused on AI/ML or cloud security.
  • Relevant certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, GMLE, CISSP, or CCSP.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks like GDPR, HIPAA, FedRAMP, or CCPA.
  • Experience with NIST IR 8596 guidance and Cybersecurity Framework 2.0.
