About the role
Responsibilities
- Consult on and implement practices aligned with AI risk standards to secure the AI lifecycle and ensure resilience.
- Conduct threat modeling, adversarial testing, red teaming, and stress testing for AI/ML models and pipelines.
- Monitor AI systems for adversarial ML attacks, prompt injection, and unauthorized misuse.
- Provide strategic and tactical recommendations to improve the ability to secure, defend, and thwart AI-specific threats.
- Partner with AI engineers, architects, and compliance officers to embed security controls into development workflows.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for AI security best practices and risk management.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of CISA Secure AI principles and ISO/IEC 23894.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview, Defender for Cloud, Entra ID, and Sentinel.
- Deep understanding of AI/ML fundamentals, including model training, inference, and secure data pipelines.
- Experience with ML platforms (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) and MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow).
- Familiarity with adversarial ML tools such as Pyrit, IBM Adversarial Robustness Toolbox, or CleverHans.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or .Net.
- Knowledge of security frameworks including STRIDE and MITRE ATLAS.
- Expertise in securing workloads within Azure; experience with AWS or GCP is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years focused on AI/ML or cloud security.
- Relevant certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, GMLE, CISSP, or CCSP.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks like GDPR, HIPAA, FedRAMP, or CCPA.
- Experience with NIST IR 8596 guidance and Cybersecurity Framework 2.0.
