AI Scientist

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and evaluate agentic AI systems to coordinate multi-step clinical, research, and operational workflows
• Identify opportunities to deploy and integrate foundation models and decision-support tools into clinical environments
• Develop AI-enabled research analytics and workflow tools to support cohort discovery and data extraction
• Collaborate with clinical and research teams to integrate AI tools into secure, scalable, and sustainable workflows
• Evaluate AI tools in real-world settings for technical performance, fairness, safety, and usability
• Contribute to scholarly activity through publications and collaborative research initiatives

Requirements

• MSc, PhD, or equivalent degree in AI, ML, Computer Science, Biomedical Informatics, or a related field
• Demonstrated expertise in the development, adaptation, or evaluation of advanced AI methods
• Experience translating technical innovation into applied tools or workflows in healthcare or biomedical research
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working in highly collaborative, interdisciplinary environments
• Knowledge of responsible AI principles, including fairness, transparency, governance, and safety

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in clinical AI, digital health, or cardiovascular data science
• Experience with human-in-the-loop or agentic AI systems and large language models (LLMs)
• Experience in research workflow automation or the prospective evaluation of AI tools in practice
