About the role

Responsibilities

  • Oversee, monitor, and report on information and technology risks for a designated portfolio
  • Develop and monitor risk management and governance frameworks and practices
  • Act as a trusted advisor to assigned business groups, providing guidance on risk identification and classification
  • Implement methodologies, metrics, and program standards to ensure compliance and effective monitoring
  • Represent the risk program and governance structure during internal and external regulatory audits
  • Lead the development and maintenance of the governance system and framework
  • Analyze data and information to provide insights, recommendations, and identify emerging trends
  • Build change management plans and communication strategies to influence behavior and ensure readiness
  • Coordinate the management of databases and ensure adherence to data governance standards

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in information and technology risk management
  • Post-secondary degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
  • In-depth knowledge of IT risk management practices and regulatory requirements
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and influence skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle non-routine situations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Security-related certification such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, or GIAC
  • In-depth knowledge of quantitative techniques and economic capital methodologies
  • Experience with risk policy frameworks and quality control/testing frameworks
