AI Researcher/Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design self-supervised pretraining objectives on multimodal physiological and content data
• Stress-test multimodal and signal foundation models under distribution shift
• Build evaluation protocols that distinguish real progress from benchmark noise
• Ship internal research tooling for experiment tracking, dataset versioning, and agentic eval pipelines
• Close the loop between offline model results and the live product
• Write internal research memos documenting findings and failed experiments

Requirements

• Ship end-to-end projects from vague directions within a week
• Strong opinions on generalization informed by own experiments
• Comfort with heterogeneous, multimodal data
• Fast shipping with AI coding tools such as Codex, Claude Code, and agents
• Taste to spot leaky benchmarks and architectural limitations
• Any background accepted: PhD, undergrad, self-taught, or intern
