AI Research Scientist (Robot Learning)

Responsibilities

• Drive research and implementation for large scale, multi-task foundation AI models for robotics
• Oversee model specialization for end use cases using fine-tuning and post-training techniques
• Manage the data flywheel process, including data specification, collection, training, and real-world evaluation
• Write clean, maintainable Python code using deep learning frameworks
• Collaborate with Robotics and Hardware teams to ensure stable deployment on real-world robots

Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Robotics, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience)
• 3+ years of experience training generative models
• 4+ years of experience developing and maintaining Python code
• Strong empirical research abilities and intuitions
• Project management or supervision experience
• Fluent English speaker

Preferred Qualifications

• Published research in leading conferences such as NeurIPS, CoRL, ICML, or ICLR
• Experience training large scale foundation models with distributed multi-GPU setups
• Experience with Robotics and ROS2
• Experience with RL fine-tuning of generative models
• Experience in open source software development
