AI Research Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop specialized LLMs for industrial sectors including manufacturing, defense, and medical industries
• Implement post-training and mid-training techniques for domain knowledge injection and task improvement
• Build training and evaluation datasets based on field-specific data
• Develop specialized models utilizing non-linguistic and unstructured data, such as time-series analysis and high-resolution image processing
• Apply and advance AI models for "AI for Science" to solve engineering and scientific problems
• Optimize LLMs for real-world service deployment through model compression (distillation, quantization)
• Design LLM-based agents and develop improvement pipelines based on user feedback

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant professional experience (Master's degree counts as 2 years, PhD counts as 5 years)
• Master's degree or higher in AI, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Hands-on experience in LLM/VLM training and optimization (continual pre-training, alignment, etc.)
• Experience with model distillation (on-policy/offline) and quantization (weight/activation/KV cache)
• Experience working with multimodal or time-series data
• Understanding of the end-to-end lifecycle of AI models, from training and evaluation to serving and monitoring

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD holder or candidates graduating by August 2026
• Experience publishing research papers in top-tier AI conferences
• Proven track record of commercializing or applying LLM/VLM specialized models to real-world services
• Experience applying AI models to solve complex scientific or engineering problems
