AI Research Engineer

Responsibilities

• Identify high-impact research problems and design experiments in NLP, LLMs, and generative AI
• Publish findings at top-tier conferences and contribute to the AI research community
• Bridge the gap between research prototypes and scalable production systems
• Design, train, and fine-tune large-scale deep learning models using PyTorch, TRL, or Unsloth
• Optimize model performance through distillation, quantization, and pruning
• Design and operate RAG pipelines using vector databases like Pinecone or Weaviate
• Architect LLM-powered agents using tool calling, planning, and multi-agent orchestration
• Curate high-quality datasets and implement scalable ML infrastructure using Docker and Kubernetes

Requirements

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML research or research engineering
• At least one first-author or co-author publication at recognized venues (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, etc.)
• Strong proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks like PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow
• Solid understanding of model architectures including Transformers and diffusion models
• Strong mathematical foundation in linear algebra, probability, and statistics
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, production-quality code

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with agentic architectures and frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex
• Hands-on experience with RAG pipelines and vector databases
• Experience with large-scale distributed training (DeepSpeed, FSDP)
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and MLOps tooling
• Active contributions to AI/ML open-source projects
