AI Research Engineer

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and implement AI/ML models to solve complex engineering and performance challenges in Formula 1.
• Develop and maintain scalable training pipelines and deploy production-ready systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Simulation, Vehicle Performance, and Software Engineering.
• Perform data exploration, feature engineering, and model evaluation following industry best practices.
• Contribute to internal tooling, documentation, and the promotion of a culture of innovation and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in applied AI/ML research or development.
• Strong Python programming skills and proficiency with data science libraries like NumPy and Pandas.
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Proficiency with MLOps tools and deployment technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions).
• Permanent right to work in the UK.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs), LangChain/LangGraph, or AI agents.
• A track record of research publications or a PhD.
