AI R&D Strategy & Government Project Planner

About the Company

The Planning team at LG AI Research establishes and operates mid-to-long-term R&D strategies and policies. The team performs strategic and planning tasks based on a deep understanding of the latest AI technology and trends, while communicating our vision and activities both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall practical tasks related to government AI policy understanding, R&D project planning, proposals, agreement signing, and performance management
• Plan and operate cooperation with external organizations such as government, academia, and associations based on the latest AI technology trends
• Conduct internal R&D planning and operation activities to establish research directions and accelerate execution

Requirements

• Ability to plan, propose, and operate national projects in AI, Software, or Data fields
• Ability to communicate smoothly with external organizations (government, academia, associations) and internal R&D organizations
• Ability to identify latest technology trends and suggest insights for R&D strategy
• Competency in operating industry-academic-research consortia
• Strong logical writing and persuasive communication skills
• At least 2 years of experience in AI-related planning or research
• Degree in AI-related fields (Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Statistics, Data Science) or Technology Management (Industrial Engineering, Business Administration)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in R&D national projects (working in government agencies that plan projects or research institutes that execute them)
• Experience in external cooperation or consulting based on AI, S/W, or digital technology
• Experience in planning and operating industry-academic research with top domestic and global universities
• Proficiency in English
