AI Project Business Analyst

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional specifications and high-quality documentation
• Scope AI use cases with stakeholders, defining success metrics, KPIs, and acceptance criteria
• Manage product backlogs including epics, features, and user stories using Jira, Azure DevOps, or Confluence
• Support project planning, scheduling, milestone tracking, and dependency management
• Organize discovery workshops and design thinking sessions to identify and prioritize AI opportunities
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Architects to ensure alignment on feasibility and delivery constraints
• Coordinate UAT planning, test coordination, defect management, and user training activities
• Identify and track risks across scope, timelines, resources, governance, and compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data/Analytics, or an equivalent technical field
• 5–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Project Manager, or in a similar role within enterprise-scale initiatives
• Proven experience in requirements engineering (BRD/FRD, user stories, and process modeling)
• Proficiency with BA/PM tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, MS Project, and Excel
• Strong understanding of both Agile and Waterfall project delivery frameworks
• Experience supporting UAT, change management, and user training for digital solutions
• Familiarity with data analytics and reporting tools like Power BI or Qlik Sense
• Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and the machine learning lifecycle

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with agentic AI platforms such as Copilot Studio, M365 Copilot, Dataiku, or LibreChat
• Familiarity with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
• Technical foundations in SQL, APIs/integrations, and data structures
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, CSM, CBAP, or PMI-PBA
