AI Principal Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy advanced generative AI and machine learning models to solve complex business challenges.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and data scientists within the Generative AI Center of Excellence.
• Conduct research on cutting-edge AI advancements and integrate these techniques into Synopsys solutions.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver robust, scalable AI solutions.
• Perform data analysis, preprocessing, and feature engineering to optimize datasets for high-performance models.
• Train, validate, and fine-tune ML models to ensure accuracy and operational excellence in production environments.
• Ensure all AI solutions comply with ethical guidelines, data privacy regulations, and industry standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (PhD preferred).
• 12 to 16 years of hands-on experience in AI and machine learning with a proven track record of production deployments.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or C++.
• Expertise in machine learning frameworks including TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Practical knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with version control (Git) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Deep understanding of statistical analysis, data mining, and data visualization.
