AI Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver core components of the Agentic Data Plane (ADP), including agent-to-agent communication and the Agent Tool Registry
• Build platform primitives for secure tool use coordination, such as "on behalf of" (OBO) patterns and centralized policy guardrails
• Provide end-to-end observability for agentic products, including data dependencies, traces, and evaluation signals
• Integrate the ADP with existing Data Platform foundations like catalogs, metadata, data warehouses, and vector retrieval
• Collaborate with domain teams to onboard pilot agents and help them adopt platform standards
• Drive innovation by exploring emerging technologies like LLM evaluation, prompt safety, and agent memory

Requirements

• Experience in platform engineering building internal platforms for other engineering teams
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including API design, reliability, testing, and operability
• Experience building secure systems involving authentication, authorization, and governance controls
• Hands-on experience operating production services on GCP (Vertex AI, BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions)
• Proficiency in Python for building platform services and tooling
• Fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with agentic or LLM-based systems in production (evaluation, drift monitoring, prompt safety)
• Familiarity with data governance concepts such as lineage, traceability, and access controls
• Proficiency in Spanish
