AI Platform Engineer, DevX

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and health of the Nx-based monorepo, including project graphs, dependency boundaries, and language toolchains.
• Design and operate CI/CD systems with a focus on correctness, reproducibility, speed, and caching.
• Build developer tooling including internal CLIs, scaffolding, and local development stacks (Tilt, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Create "paved paths" for deployment and environment workflows that improve velocity without creating friction.
• Treat developer infrastructure as a production system by implementing SLOs, observability, and on-call rigor.
• Identify and resolve developer friction through data-driven improvements and first-principles problem solving.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building developer-facing infrastructure, such as monorepo platforms, build systems, or internal tooling.
• Hands-on experience with modern monorepo tools like Nx, Bazel, Pants, Buck, or Turborepo.
• Strong fluency in at least two of the following: Go, Python, TypeScript, Rust, or Bash.
• Proven experience managing CI/CD systems at scale (e.g., GitHub Actions, Buildkite, CircleCI).
• Familiarity with observability tooling and incident response for production-grade systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building or contributing to remote build caches or hermetic build pipelines (e.g., Nix).
• Experience leading large-scale repository migrations (polyrepo to monorepo or vice versa).
• Background in release engineering, supply-chain security (SLSA, Sigstore), or artifact management.
• Experience applying DORA or SPACE metrics to measure developer productivity.
• Exposure to multi-tenant, regulated, or air-gapped deployment environments.
