AI Platform Director - Data Engineering

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead AI/ML workloads on AWS, including Amazon SageMaker, AWS Bedrock, Lambda, ECS, and EKS
• Define enterprise standards for MLOps, feature stores, and model lifecycle management
• Oversee the development of ML models for fraud detection, credit scoring, and customer segmentation
• Lead GenAI initiatives using LLMs for document intelligence and AI copilots
• Partner with Risk, Legal, and Compliance to embed Responsible AI principles and audit-ready controls into platform design
• Mentor engineering talent and establish best practices for distributed systems and cloud architecture

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Information Technology
• 2+ years of leadership experience in AI/ML, data science, or data engineering
• Deep hands-on experience building production ML systems on AWS
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
• Expertise in MLOps practices, including CI/CD, model monitoring, and drift detection
• Experience working within regulated environments with model governance frameworks

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Generative AI and LLM platforms such as Bedrock, OpenAI, or Claude APIs
• Background in financial services, banking, fintech, or insurance
• Familiarity with data platforms like Snowflake or Databricks
