About the role

Responsibilities

  • Define technical direction for delivery teams and promote the creation of reusable engineering assets
  • Drive the adoption of AI-assisted development practices, including code generation, code review, and test automation
  • Identify, evaluate, and pilot new AI use cases across the software delivery lifecycle
  • Design and develop autonomous agents supporting SDLC activities and integrate them with platforms like Jira, GitHub, and CI/CD systems through MCP
  • Measure and report the impact of AI adoption on developer productivity using metrics like DORA and Flow Metrics
  • Define quality gates, governance models, and evaluation frameworks for AI-generated code and agent outputs
  • Evaluate and optimize AI tooling costs through model selection, caching strategies, and token budgeting
  • Partner with Engineering Managers to upskill teams in AI-native engineering practices

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in software development
  • 3+ years of experience in a technical leadership role (Tech Lead, Team Lead, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic)
  • Experience with agent frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, or PydanticAI
  • Experience working with Model Context Protocol (MCP)
  • Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot)
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and engineering trade-offs
  • Understanding of AI security risks, including prompt injection and data leakage in agentic workflows
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders and facilitate workshops

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience driving AI adoption across multiple engineering teams
  • Experience establishing engineering standards and governance frameworks around AI-enabled development
